About Our Founder
Hi, I’m Sally.
Having spent 30 happy years in the same industry, following a predictable linear path of moving from one role to another within the same organisation, it was time for a change! Switching up gears, with no fear, as they say!
I am a nurturer personality type, through and through! A strong sense of duty which extends to both my personal and professional life! I thrive on helping others and have always found so much joy in hosting occasions for family and friends, being part of joyful moments in their lives, fostering memories and enriching life stories!
Hosting parties was always an opportunity for my creative flair to show up, a talent I have had for many years, but a passion only really utilised sporadically. So, I decided to use my passion to start a business and in January 2025, I established Once Upon a Paper.
As I was developing my business plan, I knew there was a better way to update the balloon arch, and I also wanted to enable prospective and motivated environmentally conscious clients by offering a more sustainable solution for their event décor.
So, whether you want to add a touch of whimsy to your next gathering or be more eco-conscious, paper honeycombs are a great option for you!
